Media and communication tools
What I did here was make a Premiere tutorial video using screencast-o-matic.com to record myself using Premiere so that my students can get on edmodo.com and on their class tab, view my instruction. They can have the video up while they work in the program. I plan on building a library of tutorials to use on edmodo.com . That way my students have access to it whenever they need it. Using edmodo.com, screencast-o-matic.com and schooltube.com I'm able to make it so that my task in the classroom is going around coaching instead of lecturing in the front the whole time. It's wonderful!

This page is really useful, but for my classroom I use edmodo.com. That being said, the video had an example of planning a camping trip. I do go camping and that is brilliant in planning a camping trip! I think Google docs will serve better in peer review of documents.

From Google Reader to Taptu
Google reader is being shut down on July 1, 2013. Google is redirecting people to join Taptu. It is a way to dj your personal feeds and apps in one spot to streamline your favorite things without it being a garbled mess. Pretty cool!
Google Docs
Google docs is something I've used for a while now. It is really nice not having to email document attachments but being able to start, finish, and retrieve documents using Google docs. I haven't used the peer editing feature much however, but I find that that will be real helpful for my students. They cannot get on Google at this time, but I was just talking to our Technology director and they are switching to Google everything next year to make use of Google docs and other Google apps. I am excited to see what the next year will bring!

Delicious.com
My Delicious site
Above is the link to my delicious.com site. It is a social bookmarking tool in which one can bookmark pages for use later but the two most appealing thing about it is that 1. It is not limited to one computer and 2. Others can see what you bookmark and you can see others bookmarks which helps all parties involved.
This is really great since I use several computers. Now I can bookmark things to my delicious site, have access to it from any computer, and be able to search effectively using tags I create.

Video contrasing the different methods of teaching and learning
My A/V Production class did a group project making a video contrasting teaching and learning. It is at the end of this REZ Episode. I embedded the video above. I hope it works. It works when I embed it on the high school site.
